Advocacy Offices
Colorado State University (CSU) is proud of its efforts to enhance, appreciate and support diversity and multi-culturalism as part of its mission as a land-grant institution of higher education. Below are a selection of programs and services designed to support students in a variety of ways and provide opportunities to successfully participate in, and contribute to, the diverse campus environment. While each office listed may emphasize a specific segment of the student body, servies and programs are available to benefit all students at CSU.
Black Student Services (BSS) assists students,
particularly African American, with their transition into collegiate academia by providing support
and encouragement for academic, professional, cultural and personal development, in addition to
promotiong cultural and social awareness to CSU and the surrounding Fort Collins community.

El Centro Student Services aims to increase the
outreach, recruitment, retention, graduation, and cultural pride of Latinos/Hispanics at Colorado State University.

Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Student Services (GLBTSS)
is committed to providing support services, educational and cultural programs as well as a safe
gathering space for GLBT people, other sexual minorities, and allies of the campus and Fort Collins
community.

Native American Student Services (NASS)
focuses on ensuring a successful educational experience for Native American students by providing
advocacy and support services. The four primary advocacy and service areas include recruitment,
retention, graduation and community outreach. The office embraces and encourages a supportive environment
based on the traditions and cultures of Native American peoples.

Women's Programs and Studies (WPS) provides
information, services, and programs with women and gender as the focus. The office services all
students- undergraduate and graduate, women and men. its programs concentrate on expanding students'
awareness and interest while creating conditions that allow both women and ment to share safely and
equally in the opportunities and resources provided by the University. Support services are designed
to reflect and enhance the unique goals, expectations, and aspirations of the students. Programs and
services also assist students in addressing contemporarty issues confronting them.

Resources for Disabled Students (RDS) assists CSU
in ensuring that qualified students with disabilities are afforded and given access to the same, or
equitable, educational opportunites available to tother University students, as mandated by Section
504 of the Rehabilitation At of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act of 1990. Assistance is
provided through accommodations, awareness, and advocacy so that students are not discriminated
against due to their disability in policies, procedures, and practices conducted within, or as part
of, the university environment.
